To what I’ve been up

This site has sat dormant for so long that I have stopped being visited by the nursemaid of guilt that usually attends lazy bloggers. Can I even call myself a blogger?

Probably not.

At any rate, I’m in a Ph.D. program in urban policy at the University of Delaware. It’s been great. I’ve pushed myself into the transportation world, where I serve as something of a bridge—pun intended—between the policy folks and the good people in civil engineering. My research focus has been on corridors. Indeed, that is the focus of the federally-funded University Transportation Center that employs me as a research assistant. It works out better that way.

I started, discarded, and restarted another blog, called the Daily Clique. For that website, I bundled twenty-one members of my delicious.com network into something I call “the daily clique.” Each day (or so the idea goes), I select a link or two from websites the clique has recently bookmarked.

I’ve also recently delved into the world of Wikipedia editing. I try to read an article every day and make whatever changes are necessary. The geovisualization article is 90% my work and the Ken Hodges article is vandalism-free since I took it under my wing a month ago (it still needs some work, however).

There’s more, which I’ll hopefully post about soon.
